For the lovelorn fools and the hopeless romantics
February 14, 2012, Tuesday,
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.
I hope each and every one of you experienced a happy and memorable one. I don’t know what else to say since nothing much happened to me. I don’t want this to be overly dramatic. I really dislike people like that, heavily reacting to how alone they’ll be today. If it’s really like that then why should tomorrow be different? Is it because couples are everywhere today or people are confessing to their loved ones in every direction? People who are like that should really calm down. Reacting to this won’t do them any good. Instead of falling into your own self-proclaimed demise, why don’t you go and take a stroll at 11pm and clear your thoughts out? I’m a hopeless romantic, and I don’t do that.
And Valentine’s Day is overrated anyway. It’s a day filled of emotional blackmail and false hopes. I’m not trying to sound negative here, but it’s the truth. It’s the day when we delude ourselves with emotions. We force ourselves to do selfish things that we think is sweet.
Here’s an advise, don’t force yourself to love someone just because you think the world wants you two to be together. It isn’t love. It’s called suicide.
Some people deserve a whole lot more than what they have right now, and it’s because of their rushing to a happily ever after that they fail to see the real ending in store for them. Love isn’t a trial and error test. Carefully take your time and see things over; because, more often than not, people everywhere are making the wrong decisions. Don’t wait until you regret doing it. There’s still a Valentine’s Day in the coming years so don’t worry.
